10 TOP TIPS TO COPE WITH THE HEAT
Are you one hot Mum to be? Spring has sprung and the temperature is rising. Being pregnant in the heat takes being a ‘Hot Mumma†to another level. If you are Pregnant and feeling the heat already try and stay cool with these top 10 Tips.
1. WATER
Drinks lots of water and avoid dehydration
2. SPRAY BOTTLE BLISS
Fill a spray bottle with water and spray your face regularly to keep cool
3. SHADEY LADY
Stay in the shade when you can, if in the sun wear a wide brimmed hat, sunnies and a flowing sun dress (keep shoulders covered)
4. GIVE ME AIR CON
Turn on your air conditioners at home, visit the shops, movies or other air conditioned places in the hottest part of the day to stay cool, relaxed and calm
5. TEA TOWEL TREAT
Wet tea towels with water and place in freezer (length ways) then once they are a little frozen wrap around your neck
6. NAKED BEAUTY
Take as many clothes off as you can and simply wear a comfy sarong!
7. MINI FAN
Keep a mini battery operated fan and carry in your handbag (combine this with spray bottle and its cool)
8. SHOWER/POOL HEAVEN
Boiling and flustered? Strip off and take a cold shower or a dip in the pool and wrap a sarong around you when you’re finished
9. FOOT SPA FRENZY
Fill a foot spa with water and ice; it’s amazing how fast your body temp will drop when your tootsies are chilling
10.COOL FOOD FINDS
Choose cold and fesh food where possible for snacks, lunch and dinners. We love Watermelon slices, ice blocks, and cold chicken salads!
